Fueling The Fire

Many of you are probably wondering how I got into this Blog, and I owe it all to one of my favorite people in my life, my chosen mom. I started this life with 2 parents, and then life happened: divorce, custody wars, step parents, half brothers, narcissism. The list goes on and on. In twenty-five years I’ve learned my fair share of lessons, the most important being that YOU choose who and what happens in your life. You may be born into toxicity, but what you do with it will truly make or break your life.

When you least expect it you will find the true hidden gems in this world. She is the strongest, most ambitious, inspiring entrepreneur I have ever met. Every day she pushes me to be better, chase my dreams and to live life to the fullest. I am constantly silently thanking her for helping me become the person I have grown to be.

She is the first person I shared my idea of this blog with, and she has encouraged me to live out my dreams and make them reality. She always reminds me if not now, then when? Dream big, work hard, stay focused and surround yourself with good people.

Don’t ever let your blood be the reason keeping you from your goals. Use the negativity, corruption, hatred and disfunction to fuel the fire under your ass! Prove to them every day that you can break the mold and truly kill it in life!

To my chosen mom,

Thank you for everything you have taught me and continue to teach me. You treat me like your own child and love me unconditionally. You’ve showed  me how to brainstorm a never ending list of ideas and projects that we wouldn’t be able to accomplish in a hundred years. You listen to my stupid and crazy schemes and help me sort through the jumble in my head. You are my best friend, and I am so lucky to have you.

Love,

Megan
